Skills, proven on the job.
Skillcredible is a practical-skills logbook for technicians in the field. We built all of it: the iOS and Android app, the admin panel and the backend.

Proof, task by task.
A course is split into task groups and tasks. Each task keeps a log of notes, photos and every pass or fail, with who and when. The course ends with a sign-off from the people responsible for it.

- Status from the latest assessment
- Evidence: notes and photos
- Who did it, on every entry
- Every pass and fail counted
- An assessor names a supervisor
- Pass or fail, right on site
From first task to signed off.
How Skillcredible works end to end, in the admin panel and in the app.

- AppStartThe clock starts and counts down to the due date.Ready to begin?

- AppAssessAn assessor marks each task. Every attempt stays in the log.Task Passed
- AppSign offThe technician asks for sign-off. Assessors and managers approve it from their phone.Sign-off & send
- PanelReport and renewInsights and reports for admins. Recurring courses come back before they expire.Auto Reassign
Five roles. One app.
- TechnicianTakes courses, logs evidence, asks for sign-off.
- ManagerAssigns courses to the team, pauses and resumes them.
- AssessorPasses or fails tasks and names a supervisor.
- AdminStarts courses and approves sign-off.
- InstructorAdds PDF and video materials.
One person can hold several roles and switch between them in the app. Manager, Assessor and Technician at once, no new login: every tab changes with the role. Making that switch smooth was the hardest part.

Scan it. Sign it.
Every profile, course and task has its own QR code. Scan a colleague's task and you can assess it on the spot, as its supervisor.
One product. Three parts.
- Saves the result
- Updates the reports
- Sends a push
- An assessor passes a task in the app.
- The client's own backend saves it and pushes the news to the technician.
- Admins see it in the panel's insights and reports.
Mobile app
- Flutter: one codebase for iOS and Android.
- Courses, task logs, evidence, assessment and sign-off.
- Five roles, switched in the app.
- QR codes and a scanner for people, courses and tasks.
- PDF viewer and video player for course materials.
Admin panel
- Directus, with our own Skillcredible module on top.

- 42 kinds of notification, sent as push, plus 7 scheduled jobs for due dates, overdue courses, expiry and renewals.
- Materials up to 30 MB for PDF and 100 MB for video.

How we built it.
Two Flutter developers and one backend and frontend developer. Data model and roles on paper first, then the backend, the panel and the app growing together, one feature at a time.
- commits across app, backend and auth service
- 450
- API routes
- 63
- backend tests, including assessor, manager and instructor flows

- Jul 2025Data model and roles written down. The backend starts on Directus, so the admin panel grows with it.
- Aug to SepThe Flutter app: courses, task logs, evidence and the assessor flow. Teams, locations and supervisors.
- Oct to DecInsights and reports in the panel. Push for the whole course flow. Recurring courses.
- Jan to Feb 2026One backend per client behind an auth service. Google sign-in, live insights, import and export.
- MarSeveral roles per person, the Instructor role and course materials.
- JunA new client's backend is set up automatically. Still growing: new app views and more analytics in the panel.
Versions follow the backend contract: when an app is too old for its server, it asks the user to update.
